Second Time Around For
ACANTHUS

Acanthus

On Wednesday 20th October 1982 I was back at The Theatre in Chipping Norton to see (for a second time) ACANTHUS. This was the band that featured my then swimming coach TERRY BREEZE on keyboards and backing vocals. Although I had seen the band before and knew I was going to see them again in just over a month I wanted to see the band again as Terry had also become a good friend.

This time the band performed more of their own material, but still found time to perform two old rock classics such as BLACK NIGHT and PARANOID.

After the show I purchased a copy of The Whinging Album 'Clutching At Straws' catalogue number WFE 101 (cover pictured below) which featured a song by the band called VALLEY OF THE UNLOVED.
