One Night with
ELTON JOHN
On Wednesday 11th December I travelled to London with friends Dave and Pat to see Elton John and his Band at the Wembley Arena.
During the performance I was amazed at how many Elton John songs I actually knew as there was only one song I did not know, and even that wasn't one of his own, but was a track by Ryan Adams. There were however a couple of tracks I did not recognise at first, like FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND/LOVE LIES BLEEDING, and TAKE ME TO THE PILOT.
Some of the highlights for me were ROCKET MAN, THE WASTELAND, PINBALL WIZARD, CROCODILE ROCK, SORRY SEEMS TO BE THE HARDEST WORD, BENNIE AND THE JETS, I NEED LOVE, and THIS TRAIN DON'T STOP HERE (ANYMORE) to name but a few.
The problem with this concert was that no matter what songs he performed there would always be more that you wished he had done.
